This is a great little printer, however the ink in a little expensive so be aware of that, other than that it really makes beautiful pictures.
I purchased the SPP-2040 Digital Photo Printer It arrived within a few days and is exactley what I was hoping for. A very easy and simple way to print pictures. They came out perfect color and clairty is excellent!!! Cleo Van Anda
A small but powerful printer for 4×6 photos. My husband purchased this printer for me because my Cannon i960 stopped printing 4×6 photos–the attachment jammed up and I could not fix it. It’s small size and quality of prints makes it a winner. The cost of materials (ink & Paper) is higher than if you just uploaded your photos to Kodak or Snapfish but there’s no waiting and the quality is very, very good. The replacement print roller cartridge comes with the paper so when you run out of ink you also run out of paper. The replacement kit is available through Amazon–120 prints for $47.95 plus S&H which is approximately $.40 per picture. You don’t have to go through your computer either, you can print directly from your memory card as long as it’s compatible.
I did tons of research before buying this printer as a gift for my mom and I ran into the same thing with EVERY PRINTER … loads of glowing reviews and a handful of “I hate this stupid &*@*#& thing.” So it was really hard to know what to buy. In the end, I purchased this because it was a dye-sublimation printer (no ink, prints don’t run, EVER), it was small in size, and it was fairly inexpensive (so if it does become frustrating, not too much heartburn to throw it away). I helped my mom set it up post Christmas and we’ve both been very pleased with the results … it’s a nice size, perfect for sitting on a desk. The LCD screen is very easy to see. The prints are AMAZING quality and very affordable.
I’d highly recommend this.
