Hard product to review because it has many different functions and does each to a different level of quality. I think it does scanning best of all its features. It is almost as good as most standalone scanners for a similar price. Color printing is OK, but it doesn’t have a black cartridge so it has to “fake” blacks and it never looks as good as an actual black cartridge. The paper feed is very fussy and I have to babysit it and coax the paper through, which would make it bad for multiple page prints. The paper feed lost it a star in my rating. The copy function is just a combination of scan and print so it is only as good as those two put together. Also functions as a card reader, so if your computer doesn’t have this ability built in, this adds an extra feature. Like some others, I got mine dirt cheap as a “blitz” item at Wal-Mart. This made it a steal for me, and the scanner alone was more than worth it. It is still a good deal if you don’t pay full retail for it.
well I guess you get what you pay for. When the price of the ink costs the same as what you paid for the printer you can’t expect much. This all in one worked for a while but it sounds horrible now and the cartridges hold little so you have to fill frequently. now it is getting harder to get the refills so it is to be disposed of.
I bought this printer from walmart a year ago for 25.00 and it works well. Used the picbridge to copy pictures from my digital camera and it works without a hitch.
I have no complaints with the printing or the copying this all-in-one does, but I have yet to get it to scan and I’ve had it over a year now. I tried installing the drivers that came with it, but they screwed up my Dell something terrible. It won’t work at all with my husband’s mac either. I suggest buying something else completely.
I actually bought this item new from Walmart for about $25. I’ve used it daily for three months and have had no problems so far. The Ink Cartridges cost about $22 but it only uses one and mine has just run out of ink for the first time. I can’t see anything to object to.
The print quality is about as good as my expensive HP printer and HP ink is more expensive and takes two.
