This product is so unreliable that I have to print my paper two days before turning in just in case that this machine will not function again.

To its main sins belong these

-errors

-jammed paper

-lack of communication with main computer

and by the way ……… it really sucksssssssss

I’ve had thismachine for about a year and it’s done. I tried changing the cartrigdes, now it gives a message saying check cartriges I’ve called tech support and they can’t tell me anything. The cartriges are expensive too. I do not reccomend.

I paid about fifty bucks for this pile of plastic and though it can print/fax etc, it does so with low quality and is a pain to use. The setup is faulty, the "user interface" is not for human use.

The main reason this thing is so bad is that Lexmark holds you hostage to its outrageously expensive and unreliable ink cartridges. They don't last long when used, and they dry out (i.e.: Fail Completely) after a few weeks. You can revive them briefly and incompletely with rubber cement thinner on the nozzle/contact areas, but what's the use.

If you don't have one, don't buy it. If you do have one, my deepest sympathies.

If you are lucky and somehow manage to set up this all-in-one all by yourself, (the directions are of little use in this endeavour,) then this is a “pretty good” < -Minnesota Nice Speak for OK-handy-dandy-do-everything-but-polka small home office machina. Worth the price. I assembled, and then disassembled, the output trays as they are flimsy and just get in the way.
