The Kodak ESP-3 is a complete waste of money. In six months, I have not had a single decent quality page print out. I’ve gone through three black cartridges and two color cartridges. I get constant error messages, messages that the new ink cartridge is not the correct type, and that the cartridge is dry (and it is – where does all this ink go???). I bought this printer to save money on ink because the HP printer ink is soooo expensive. I’ll probably try Canon next. We have one at work and it is excellent. I am so disappointed in Kodak. For an $80 printer, it is not worth trying to get Kodak to fix it. Off to the recycling bin it goes.

This printer is good you have to clean it all the time it feed more then one paper at a time The print is not clear at time I have it about 6 mon. I have got to buy a new one If it say Kodak I will stay away from it Kodak will not stand behind it

  3. I bought the Kodak ESP 3 printer because the ink for my HP printer was so expensive. I bought into the advertising that this Kodak printer would save the consumer 50% on ink.

It is true that refills are about half the price of HP BUT they run out so quickly that I believe it would take 3 Kodak cartridges to equal one HP.

In addition, it frequently and for no apparent reason stops printing as though it was out of ink. It takes lots of coaxing to get it to print again and tries my patience.

Would I buy the Kodak ESP 3 printer again? No.

Even though I own a Kodak Easy Share camera that I love, Kodak has lost a lot of my confidence in the quality of their products

  4. We had to replace our computer and so had to replace the printer (Thanks so much, Vista). It is so noisy. It has to be turned on before beginning anything (My Lexmark turned itself on through the computer)and carries on with a lot of noisy preperations. I am trying to figure out if it will enlarge a document. After several poor quality tries, I am considering replacing a brand new (less than 1 month) printer because I can’t seem to get it to do the simplest things. It is called an all-in-one, afterall. I chose the Kodak because of the ink usage claim, the refill kits from Nukote (which are wonderful!!) have disappeared and I usually go through a lot of ink, so this seemed like a great find. I hope I am patient enough to make this worth my $ and time.

  5. I was looking at printers at Wally World when another customer recommended this printer to me. The price was right ($90) and the ink was cheap. BUT: scanning is terrible. It has minimum scanning controls, and I use Photoshop. Printing is slow. It performs diagnostics and cleaning every time you start it up, and prior to printing a page it seems to grind away endlessly. It does a terrible job on text – grayish. Unless you’re using Kodak photo paper, colors are dull and lifeless. I’d give it 1/2 star if I could.
