if your PC is not up to current standards-of course this thing wont work too well for your productivity

The Wireless 6500 gets 5 stars from people-so I would assume this is the exact same build minus that item

So I think four stars are in order-I am about to get one-I can delete this and write a new reviews if so needed

This Printer/Fax/Copier is smart looking, and takes up little space, but is a memory hog for my 800 Mghz computer w/ windows XP (with 400meg ram!)There is no support for Win 98.

It slows down the print preview in my business excel sheets so much that once you look for page breaks etc, the computer has a 2-3 second delay with every key stroke! Not suitable for our business application where we need to print estimates etc in a few seconds. If we had a state of the art computer, would probably be fine, however. I still want the HP quality, but this thing is not suitable for a small business printing quick receipts etc.

  3. The HP MFP 6500 was the worst product I have come across in recent years.Almost every time I tried to print something the paper jammed. I ruined about 50 sheets before I realized the printer was useless. Moreover, the product was supposed to be new but was in fact a demo as evidenced by the nonremovable demo shee. The product was returned about 3 weeks ago and I am eagerly awaiting my refund.

From the moment I opened the box I knew there would be trouble!

The directions for this thing are horrible. Horrible pictures and no real directions! No Directions would be fine if it was user friendly…but its NOT! They have made everything more complicated than is nessasary!

The set up is complicated even for someone who is very good with this kind of thing.

Installing the ink took me an hour to figure out and the dumb things leaked all over the place!

Then you get it all set up only to find out that it DOES NOT INCLUDE THE USB CABLE! So you have to go back to the store and buy one which is another added exspense [...]! A money making sceme.

My brother printer was as simple as can be and worked great for a long time with excellent quality for less money.

    I hate this thing already!

Bought for my sister. She has a Mac and Windows.

Printing from the mac created about a 1/2″ margin on the bottom, and consistently cut off text … even though the printer is advertised as “borderless.”

See other review making similar claim. Going to “borderless” mode changed the black to more like grey, since it was probably rendered through some dumb driver.

Anyway, this thing really wasted our time and we returned it (and cost me shipping in the meantime). We didn’t even get to trying it in Windows.

    Avoid this printer!
