While I have not fully used all of the Canon features I find the Basic guide to be very confusing.
I haven’t use all the featurs as yet but I think it will be worth the while.
The printer works great as a usb printer, a fax machine, and copier.
It may as well not even have a network port on it.
The networking driver will find the printer ,but then it goes back to searching for
a printer, and this loop continues till you give up.
I can’t tell if thr network scanning works because of the above driver problem.
I can tell you that a Dell 1600 works great as a network printer, network scanner,
fax & copier. We have 3 of these and we tried this Hp 3055 and I would not reccommend it to anyone
We use them at the school and I wanted one at home which allow us to fax thru a attached network computer.. Works just fine with the proper software installed with Vista Ultimate..
The “instant on” feature is finally instant on for this printer.
Nice quality for the documents that I needed to print.
The web interface is very easy to use, you can set your fax speed dial on the web.
It also shows you the page count, toner level and all the settings that you can manipulate.
