OK HP have maybe 25% lemon printers, but they have lots.

Dunno yet for the 9800. Quality OK. Page size kinda difficult. Price great.

    Change-more soon.

  2. Okay I’ve had this Printer about a Week now,

I must say I was a little bit worried when I ordered this due to the amount of reviews that it had on the negative side. But now After owning the Printer and Working with it I see the Beef Most people have had..

See The Nice Thing about this Printer and HP

Is the Ink’s Everyone on hear that rights a bad review on this printer I’m sure are use to the Canons and the Epson’s who only have one type of ink for their model printers where This HP has A Couple different Price range inks This Printer Comes with Test ink on the low range of their inks.

This Printer Will Not I repeat Will Not Print very High Resolution straight out of the box with the ink that comes with it.. I am a Professional Photographer who was looking for a Cheaper printer I can take with me and not worry about it getting broken or what not. Now as Photographer I love this Printer for this Price You Can’t beat it..

Just know if you are going to be printing Photos Buy the HP 99 inks Not the 97’s Better Color & Better dpi…

All I have to say is Don’t bother Reading the Bad Reviews on this Printer Rather Read the Manual and Don’t act you know more then it does Cause it will help you Setup the Printer and Get it to print what you want.

    INSTALL THE DRIVERS!!

i just bought this printer 2 days ago, i’m a jurior graphic designer

it was very easy to install

it print nicly on the thicker matt paper too

however, there was always some paper feeding problem that i really don’t know why that would happen

it doesn’t cause any problem for me so far

but i’m not sure how long i can deal with this when i need something done fast and correct

another thing is the weird stroke right in the middle of the paper from the top to bottom

I JUST BOUGHT THIS PRINTER “2″ DAYS AGO!!!

and i tried to get it tested and clean and … nothing changed.

still that annoying stroke in the middle! and i tried to search on hp support… what a horrible info page.

nothing important you can find, very confusing too!

so sad that this is a large format printer for home, and it prints quiet too.

i guess i’m gonna put everything back to the box and return it afterall

maybe invest more money on the epson r1800~

I do not know why people are complaining on the reviews about this printer. I’ve had alot of great times with it, and yes you have to learn how to play with settings, but you also have to know what you are doing in dealing with the printer quality and the way your printer and computer interact. As you would with ANY printer.

I just got done taking 2 college courses that touched upon it. You have to know how to set it up and how to do it, its not spy speak but it is something that takes fiddling and patience. As for ink cost, puhlease not that bad at all! Infact I just found some on here for like 18 bucks for the color! Sweet! Everywhere else its a little more. But I do remember buying 3 packages of paper with roughly 150 pages each! I burned through on one pair of cartridges (Black/Color) almost 400 pages! Thats including pictures and text!

This printer is no disappointment, and just becaue there are a couple revieweres who didn’t like it means nothing. You could hand the best printer in the world to someone who isn’t educated or willing to educate themselves on it, and they’ll complain. But once they learn then its like,oh well duh I just had to learn it and do this.

So do not be afraid folks, this is my first HP printer, I used to use Epsons, O_O CRAP. Anyways the printer from HP is not a disappointment at all! It is a great buy! Of course i got it for like 75 bucks at Staples! O_O Dunno how that was accomplished!

  5. Add me to the list of victims of a lousy design that breaks on the first cartridge change. There’s a badly mounted spring to the side of the cartridge, which when you pull out the old cartridge, can fall out of place. Then when you push in the new cartridge, the flailing spring pokes a hole in the fragile ribbon cable on the PCB. Now the printer is dead. Oh, you can purchase a new PCB/ribbon cable for the price of a new printer. Ha ha time to look at Canon printers!!
