Great printer. Easy to set up. Very quite.
Have been using the i550 for six months now, much better than my old Canon bubble jet and does not use anywhere near the ink of my older HP inkjet. Blank ink lasts a pretty good amount of printing and the ink cartridges are much less expensive than either Canon or HP. I rate this a best buy product. I do a lot in color but very few quality photo prints so I can’t rate those honestly.
It is a regular printer. It can be used as a photo printer, but the quality is not very good. I can see the dots on the pictures. And the color is not “real”. If using mid-quality or low-quality photo paper, the pictures are even worse. Text printing is fast and good.
I absolutely love this printer. My husband and I first bought it in 2002 in Japan. When we left the country, we took this printer with us. After traveling over 7000 miles, it is still able to print paper after paper. It also prints great pictures. I still prints like new.
