This unit has answered all my problems. From faxing to photo printing it is professional.I highly recommended it.

  2. This printer was cheaper than most comparable models and it is easy to see why. The biggest rip off is the ink. The ink cartridges are small and hold very little ink. With my old HP 500 Desk Jet I replaced the black inkjet cartridge maybe once a year at most. I have owned this printer for six months and I have already had to replace the black cartridge twice. The color cartridges are a worse rip off. I have printed about 6 color pages and now the color cartridges are empty. When I cut and paste articles off the internet, or download items off the internet in order to print them out, it prints one line every ten seconds, and I just found out the reason: its default setting is for color, not B & W, which means that even if you print B & W, the printer will use its color inks, thereby wearing them out. So, you have to change the default to B & W if you buy this. Now the biggest rip off which I learned today: if any of the color cartridges are empty, it will not let you continue printing in black and white. So my important legal document I am drafting which is due tomorrow cannot be printed in black and white off of Wordperfect because my color cartridges are empty.

this is definitely a great grab for the price and the features it has…

  4. This printer works reliable attached locally with my USB and remotely on my LAN. I like that. It also did a great job printing about 7 pages of high quality Christmas photos for my family during the holidays (on high gloss paper too.)

But then it started running low on black ink. Fine, I say to myself, just print what you can and I’ll make due. (I just needed quick driving directions and the indicator said there was plenty of blue, yellow, and red ink.) Unfortunately, this printer won’t budge when it’s running low on any color. It just won’t print, and won’t tell you that it won’t print either. It’s just stubborn. And THAT, my friends, is unacceptable. I don’t want a bossy printer that’s going to tell me when it is and when it isn’t gonna print.

    Summary: Steer clear.

This little machine seems to be cheaply made. The USB plug in is underneath the scanner bed. Then you have to wrap the cord around and the machine before you can even think about placing the printer in an area near your computer.

Plugged it into the computer and the “found new hardware” came up. Went through the process. Error. It failed. ? I followed the de-structions in the book. Still Error. Failed to install. Yet – I could still print. ? Tried it on another computer. Tried a different USB cable. I even tried a different one. (I have 3). Error. Failed to install the driver…

After trying several different methods to install the printer drivers – including downloading off the internet – I replaced this with a trusty dusty OLD HP printer.
