Thanks for the heads up. I almost bought the printer until I read the reviews. Sounds like a headache to me.
I am selling the printer, but Amazon only charges $4.49 for shipping! This product weighs 10 pounds and fits in a 20X14X9 box. That means it costs $15.67 to ship to myself and $19.52 to ship to California. Whoever buys this is getting a deal! And I am losing $10 to $15 on shipping! If Amazon reviews this, please fix problem. Thank you.
I’ve had this printer going on 5 years now, and it still works fine. I wouldn’t say that its great, but it does the job with just a little troubles once in awhile.
This is the worst printer I’ve owned…worked okay at first (not great, not fast, just okay). Ink is ridiculously overpriced, and only available from them. Paper starts to drag from 1 side…not fizable. Then it will start to print colors a little “Off” with no way to adjust for more red, blue, etc. Then it printes blurry, or spotty, or prints big blobs of ink, even though it says it full and you put in a new cartridge.
Doesn’t allow you to make any adjustments, they just tell you to put in a new cartridge, and their only solution is to run a nozzle cleaning, which uses up ENORMOUS amounts of ink.
Sigh.
Find another printer…this one’s not worth it.
I recently purchased a Dell home computer, and I purchased this printer to go along with it. I have been well-pleased with the printer. The print quality is extremely sharp, and the printer comes with a black-and-white and color cartridge. The print speed is fast for an ink jet, too; about 12 pages per minute. The scanner is easy to use and creates high-quality images which can be inserted into documents. It is easy to load paper, and jams can be cleared quickly and easily. One aspect I especially like is when you are printing a document, the computer will tell you how many additional pages can be printed before the ink cartridge runs out. I highly recommend this excellent printer. It is inexpensive, the print quality is very good, and it is extremely easy to use.
